Mary White Scholarship




A scholarship programme in partnership with the University of New South Wales, Faculty of the Built Environment

Purpose
The Scholarship is established to assist students undertaking study in the field of Interior Architecture at UNSW.

Duration
Annual. The scholarship was first awarded in 2003.

Annual Value
$2500 - Tax Exempt

The value of each year’s scholarship is determined by the amount of interest generated by the Scholarship Endowment and is reviewed annually.

Eligibility
To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must be undertaking the third year of the full-time Bachelor of Interior Architecture program at UNSW and must be Australian citizens or permanent residents.

The Scholarship recipient should not normally hold any other Scholarship or Award (except for Youth Allowance/Austudy) except with the permission of the UNSW Selection Committee.

Assessment
Each applicant will be assessed on the basis of academic merit and potential to contribute to the wider life of the University.

Consideration may be given to any social/economic circumstances that might hinder success at UNSW.

Preference may also be given to students from rural Australia.

Applications
Applications close on 30th November.

Endowment
The Scholarship endowment was donated jointly by the SIDA Foundation and by the children and grandchildren of the late Mary White with additional contributions from the UNSW Faculty of the Built Environment and the University of New South Wales.

Management
The endowment in managed by the UNSW Foundation.
