Applications are considered twice yearly in April and October and should address the aims of the Foundation.
Applying for a Grant
Proposals for scholarships and applications for grants are assessed twice yearly by the SIDA Board and should be made in writing.
In keeping with the aims of the Foundation proposals should be relevant to the interior design and interior decoration professions. They should further the knowledge and skills of interior designers through teaching, travel, research, awards, skills development and professional information.
The Foundation favours the establishment of long-term annual programmes but applications for one-time grants will be considered.
Applications may be made by educational institutions, design organizations and, in some cases, individuals.
Applications in writing should address the following:
- The type of program proposed (eg scholarship, award, grant etc.).
- The intended recipient (eg teaching staff, student, post graduate etc.)
- The frequency and duration of the proposed grant.
- The nature and cost of each award made in the proposed programme.
- A description of the organization making the request.
- Experience managing similar grants and bequests.
- The relevance of the proposal to the aims of the Foundation.
Applications should be received by the SIDA Board by March 31st or September 30th.
